Data VPN Servers
The AP Registration Data VPN Servers Screen displays all configured Data VPN Servers and is used to create, edit, and delete Data VPN Servers. You can also export Data VPN Settings that can be used in a remote VPN Server. Data VPN Servers are required for Remote AP functionality.
Creating a Data VPN Server
Click on the Add icon, complete the fields as described below, then click on the Create button to create a Data VPN Server Profile.
General
- Name - User-configured name for the Data VPN Server. It must be unique. (1 - 64 characters)
- Description - A description of the Data VPN Server. (1 - 255 characters)
- Server's Public IP - The public IP address of the Data VPN Server.
- Server's Port - The network port of the Data VPN Server. (Range = 1 - 65535)
- Server's VPN IP - The VPN IP address of the Data VPN Server.
Client VPN IP Address Pool
Select the IP Range or Shorthand Mask radio button and complete the fields as described below to create the IP pool which will be used to assign IP address to the clients connecting to the VPN tunnel.
- IP Range
- Enter the Starting and Ending IP Address in the range and Subnet Mask (e.g., Starting IP Address = 192.168.1.1, Ending IP Address = 192.168.1.254 with subnet mask = 255.255.255.0).
- Shorthand Mask
- Enter the IP pool shorthand mask format e.g., 192.168.1.0/24).
Encryption Keys
- Server's Public Key - The Data VPN Server’s public key used for secure communication between the Data VPN Server and client.
- Server's Private Key - The Data VPN Server’s private key used for secure communication between Data VPN Server and client.
Editing a Data VPN Server
Edit the fields as described above and click on the Apply button. You cannot edit the Server Name.
Deleting a Data VPN Server
Select a server(s) in the Data VPN Server List and click on the Delete icon. Click OK at the Confirmation Prompt. If a Data VPN Server had been applied to an AP Group, it cannot be deleted.
Exporting VPN Settings
Select a Data VPN Server Profile in the Data VPN Servers List and click on the Export VPN Settings icon (next to Delete icon) at the top of the list. The settings will be downloaded in a .conf File to you Download Directory. You can then import the settings into a Remote Data VPN Server.

- Name - User-configured name for the Data VPN Server. It must be unique.
- Description - A description of the Data VPN Server.

- Server's Port - The network port of the Data VPN Server.
