Server Cache

The mDNS Responder Service Cache Screen displays a list of services learned by mDNS for Responder Devices. Select a Responder Device from the mDNS Cache Of Responder drop-down to display the information. The cache contains information about the traffic passed by clients on the network.

Note: Service Cache is polled every one hour. If you do not see an entry, please wait for next polling.

Server Cache Table

• Service Instance - The device name of the service instance.
• Service ID - The type of service.
• IP Address - The IP address of the device on which the service was discovered.
• Port - The UDP port number of the discovered service instance.
• Policy List - The policy(ies) associated with the service instance.
• Location - The location derived from the edge switch.
• VLAN - The VLAN ID assigned for the service.
• MAC Address - The MAC address assigned for the service.
• User Name - The user name assigned for the service.
